DevOps Engineer
Build and operate the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability stacks that keep client platforms shipping fast and staying up.
About the Role
As TechNova's client base has scaled into manufacturing, retail, and government engagements, so has the complexity of the infrastructure behind them. We're hiring a DevOps engineer to join our Cloud & DevOps practice, working across multiple client accounts to design deployment pipelines, harden infrastructure, and cut incident response time.
You'll split your time between hands-on client delivery — provisioning environments, writing Terraform, tuning Kubernetes clusters — and internal practice-building, helping us standardize the tooling and runbooks every engagement relies on.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI for client applications
- Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code (primarily Terraform) across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments
- Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters, including resource optimization and cost management
- Build observability stacks using Prometheus and Grafana, and define meaningful SLOs and alerting thresholds
- Lead incident response for production issues, including root cause analysis and postmortems
- Automate manual operational processes to reduce toil across client engagements
- Partner with engineering leads to bake security and compliance controls into infrastructure from day one
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering role
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm or Kustomize
- Strong Terraform experience across at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch, not just maintaining existing ones
- Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent) and incident response practices
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go for automation tooling
- Comfortable being the primary infrastructure owner across multiple concurrent client accounts, overlapping with EMEA working hours
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting compliance-heavy environments (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, or FedRAMP-adjacent controls)
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, or Azure Administrator
- Experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux
