Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the Role

TechNova's client roster has grown to include multi-year platform engagements in healthcare, finance, and logistics, and we need senior engineers who can lead technical decisions on those accounts without hand-holding. This isn't a maintenance role — you'll be the technical backbone of a client team, responsible for architecture, code quality, and mentoring the engineers around you.

You'll typically be embedded on one or two dedicated-team engagements at a time, working directly with client stakeholders, our project managers, and QA to ship features that hold up under real production load — not just demo well in a sprint review.

What You'll Do

• Design and build full-stack features across React/Next.js frontends and Node.js or NestJS backends
• Own architecture decisions for new services, including data modeling, API design, and infrastructure needs on AWS or Azure
• Review pull requests from teammates and hold the line on code quality, test coverage, and security practices
• Partner directly with client engineering leads and product managers to translate business requirements into technical plans
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents, including on-call rotation for Enterprise accounts
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on the same account, including pairing sessions and design reviews
• Contribute to proposal and estimation work for prospective client engagements

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years professional experience building production web applications end-to-end
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, React or Next.js, and Node.js or NestJS
• Experience designing relational data models and working with PostgreSQL or MySQL at scale
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating services on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Track record of leading technical decisions on a team, not just executing tickets
• Strong written communication — you'll be writing technical docs and status updates that clients read directly
• Comfortable working with distributed, cross-timezone teams

Nice to Have

• Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare/HIPAA, finance/PCI DSS, or government)
• Prior consulting or agency experience working across multiple concurrent clients
• Familiarity with Go, Python, or Java for polyglot backend environments
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing
